Mark Freer
1992-93 Ottawa Senators Road Jersey
Ottawa Senators LOA / Photomatched
This jersey was worn by Mark Freer of the Ottawa Senators during the 1992-93 season, the Senators inaugural NHL season. Freer played in 63 games that season, recording 24 points in his most productive NHL season. Sewn on this jersey is the Stanley Cup 100th Anniversary patch which was worn by all teams during the 1992-93 season. The name bar on the back of the jersey was removed by the Senators as Freer was no longer a member of the team for the 1993-94 season. The Senators reused their 1992-93 jerseys for the 1993-94 preseason, but it appears that no player wore #11 in 1993-94 preseason games. Freer was the first of only four players to wear #11 in Senators franchise history before it was retired in Daniel Alfredsson's honour in 2016.
